Fees & transparency

Clear, Honest Legal Fees

Understanding legal costs shouldn't be complicated. Here's exactly how we structure our fees.

  • Hourly Rate

Standard for most Corporate, Property, and Civil Litigation matters. Billed in 6-minute increments with a detailed invoice breakdown for full transparency.

From R1,800 – R3,500 per hour, depending on attorney seniority

  • Fixed Fee

For well-defined matters like contract drafting, conveyancing, or CCMA representation, we agree on a set fee upfront — no surprises.

From R3,500, confirmed after initial consultation

  • Contingency Fee (No Win, No Fee)

Available for select civil claims. You pay nothing unless we win your case, in line with the Contingency Fees Act.

Standard rate: 25% of the settlement or court award

Initial Consultation: R950 (waived if you proceed with representation)

What Is a Retainer?

A retainer is an upfront payment that secures our services and is drawn down as work is completed. We provide a detailed statement each month so you always know where your retainer stands.

No hidden fees. No surprise invoices. Every cost explained before we begin.

Straight answers to the questions we hear most before someone becomes a client.

  • Yes. Anything shared through our case evaluation tool or during a consultation is protected by attorney-client privilege once you engage us, and treated as strictly confidential regardless.

  • Any documents relevant to your matter — contracts, correspondence, court notices, or identification. If you're unsure, bring everything you have; we'll tell you what's relevant.

  • It depends entirely on the matter — a straightforward contract review may take days, while litigation can take months. We'll give you a realistic timeline during your consultation.

  • We assess every case honestly, including the risks. Our job is to give you a realistic picture, not just tell you what you want to hear.

  • Yes, client comfort matters. If you'd prefer to work with a different attorney at any stage, we'll accommodate that where possible.
